How to Use the Kit Safely and Effectively

1. Insert the regulator onto the canister and turn it until it clicks—the oxygen will start to flow.

2. Slowly bring the mask close in a positive, calm manner: treats and a gentle tone help a lot.

3. Place the mask over the snout and hold it until visible improvement or until the canister is empty.

4. After use, turn the regulator counterclockwise to stop the flow.

You can use the remaining canisters later, as long as they are not fully emptied.

Pro Tips

• It’s recommended to get your pet used to the oxygen mask before they experience full respiratory distress.

• The canisters last 2 years from the production date, and often even longer if stored properly.

Masks and regulators are reusable: you only need to order new canisters.

You can pause and resume the oxygen flow without wasting any oxygen.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Large dogs are not exempt from respiratory difficulties, especially in cases of heart disease or excess weight. Among the most sensitive breeds are Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, and American Bullies. If you notice fatigue, rapid breathing, or sudden episodes of distress, the oxygen kit can provide valuable support while waiting for veterinary care.

These kits are very safe to use. As a pet parent, you know your animal well: if you notice rapid breathing, a hunched posture, pale or bluish gums, lethargy, or difficulty recovering after a walk in warm weather, using it right away can help your pet feel better while you head to the vet. This is not the right solution if your pet is already in a critical condition.

No. The kit is designed to be used at the first signs of breathing difficulty, not when the situation has already become severe. Acting in time can help prevent worsening and provide immediate relief.

With our portable oxygen kits, there is no risk of giving “too much” oxygen. They never reach flow rates or volumes that could be dangerous. Oxygen toxicity only occurs with very high concentrations over prolonged periods. Each kit is preset to the correct dosage, and the 30–90 minutes of oxygen it contains are not enough to cause any harm.

It's normal for your dog to be hesitant at first. Offer a treat, speak in a calm and reassuring tone, and let them gradually get used to the contact.

Yes, but only if necessary. Each canister can also be used partially—you can pause and resume the flow depending on the situation.

No. They are single-use, but safe and lightweight. Dispose of them according to local guidelines for aluminum recycling or general waste.

Pawprint canisters are small, lightweight, and easy to handle. Their pressure is over 10 times lower than that of a standard oxygen tank. They are safe to use at home and in the car. They can withstand both heat (up to 49 °C / 120 °F) and cold, so they’re safe even if the package is left outside. Oxygen is not flammable, but it can accelerate combustion—keep the canisters away from open flames and do not puncture them, just like any aerosol can.
