Toki recommends: Use the kit for a first trial when your dog is calm. It will help them get familiar with the mask, and you’ll feel more confident in case of an emergency.

Toki recommends:  Don’t wait until the situation becomes serious. The kit is most effective when used at the first signs of laboured breathing, unusual posture, or sudden fatigue in your pet.

How to Use the Kit Safely and Effectively

1. Insert the regulator onto the canister and turn it until it clicks—you’ll hear the oxygen start to flow.

2. Slowly bring the mask close to your dog’s snout, keeping it about 10–15 cm away to help them get used to it.

3. Once your dog is calm, gently place the mask over their snout and keep it in place for as long as needed.

4. After use, turn the regulator counterclockwise to stop the flow.

You can reuse any canisters that are not fully emptied at a later time.

Pro Tips

• It’s a good idea to get your pet used to the oxygen mask before they experience full respiratory distress.

• The canisters last 2 years from the production date, and often longer if stored properly.

Masks and regulators are reusable—you just need to order new canisters.

You can pause and resume the oxygen flow without wasting any oxygen.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Some medium-sized dogs can be more prone to breathing difficulties, especially if they are brachycephalic or have anatomical predispositions. Among the most sensitive breeds are French Bulldogs, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and Beagles. In cases of shortness of breath, persistent coughing, or heat-related stress, the oxygen kit can provide immediate support.

These kits are very safe to use. As a pet parent, you know your animal well: if you notice rapid breathing, a hunched posture, pale or bluish gums, lethargy, or difficulty recovering after a walk in warm weather, using it right away can help your pet feel better while you head to the vet. This is not the right solution if your pet is already in a critical condition.

No. The kit is designed to be used at the first signs of breathing difficulty, not when the situation has already become severe. Acting in time can help prevent worsening and provide immediate relief.

With portable oxygen kits, there’s no risk of giving “too much” oxygen. They never reach flow rates or volumes high enough to be dangerous. Oxygen toxicity only occurs with very high concentrations over extended periods. Each kit is preset to the correct dosage, and the 30–90 minutes of oxygen it contains are not enough to cause harm.

Yes. The kit is designed to be used in critical moments. Oxygen given for short periods is safe and can only help your dog breathe better.

Slowly bring the mask closer while your dog is relaxed. You can pair it with a treat. Many dogs willingly accept the mask after feeling the oxygen flow.

No. They are single-use, but you can pause the flow and use them again later. Once empty, they can be disposed of in aluminum recycling or general waste, according to local guidelines.

Up to 45 minutes total (6 canisters, each lasting 7.5 minutes). Each canister works independently.

Pawprint canisters are small, lightweight, and easy to handle. Their pressure is over 10 times lower than that of a standard tank. They are safe to use at home and in the car. They can withstand both heat (up to 49 °C / 120 °F) and cold, so they remain safe even if the package is left outside. Oxygen is not flammable, but it can accelerate combustion—keep the canisters away from open flames and do not puncture them, just like any aerosol can.

No, you can stop the oxygen flow at any time by turning the regulator counterclockwise. You’ll be able to use the remaining oxygen whenever you need it!
