Toki recommends: leave the chamber open and accessible at the sides when your pet is calm. If they are already used to a kennel crate, they won’t notice any difference.

How to use the chamber correctly

  1. Place the chamber in a quiet, cool area.
  2. Connect the tube to the oxygen source (cylinders or oxygen concentrator).
  3. Open the chamber and allow your cat or dog to enter calmly on their own. Do not force them.
  4. Gently close the door and start the ventilation to maintain air circulation.
  5. After the session, open the chamber and allow your cat or dog to come out when they are ready.

It is recommended not to leave your pet unattended inside the chamber. Always keep them under close supervision, and contact your veterinarian promptly if you notice any signs of discomfort.

Venturi system

The Venturi system included with the PureVent chamber allows you to adjust the oxygen concentration easily and safely, thanks to 6 colour-coded adapters:

  • Blue – 24%
  • White – 28%
  • Yellow – 35%
  • Red – 40%
(the most commonly recommended by veterinarians)
  • Pink – 50%
  • Green – 60%

Each adapter mixes room air with pure oxygen in different proportions. This system increases the total flow inside the chamber, improving air circulation and helping to manage heat, humidity and CO2. We recommend always consulting your veterinarian to determine the most suitable setting.

If no specific guidance has been provided, the red adapter (40%) is generally the most suitable starting point.

Chamber + Concentrator

A continuous flow medical oxygen source of at least 10 L/min with a concentration ≥90% is required for the safe and effective operation of the chamber. You can pair the PureVent chamber with the Compact 1025 DeVilbiss oxygen concentrator. This is the ideal combination for daily and prolonged use, particularly in chronic conditions.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Sessions of 10–15 minutes are generally recommended, to be repeated several times a day. Always follow your veterinarian’s advice.

Leave the chamber open and place something your cat likes inside, such as a blanket or a favourite toy. Familiar surroundings help reduce stress.

For home cleaning, use lukewarm water and a mild soap. In a veterinary setting, chlorhexidine may be used, ensuring that no irritating residues are left behind.

When your pet needs oxygen for more than 30 minutes a day, or at a flow rate above 3.0 LPM. In these cases, we recommend the chamber in combination with an oxygen concentrator, particularly for long-term use in chronic conditions.

By using the included Venturi adapters, which mix room air and oxygen to achieve concentrations from 24% to 60%. The most commonly used level is 40%, but your veterinarian will advise on the most appropriate setting.

The chamber is designed to provide a calm environment: as the oxygen passes from a narrow tube into a wider space, the flow speed and noise are reduced, making the session more comfortable for your pet.

No. The chamber does not generate oxygen on its own and must always be connected to an external oxygen source.
