These kits are very safe to use. As a pet parent, you know your animal well: if you notice rapid breathing, a hunched posture, pale or bluish gums, lethargy, or difficulty recovering after a walk in warm weather, using it right away can help your pet feel better while you head to the vet. This is not the right solution if your pet is already in a critical condition.

No. You can stop the oxygen flow at any time by turning the regulator counterclockwise. You can use the remaining oxygen whenever you need it.

Each canister lasts 15 minutes at a flow rate of 1.0 LPM. The complete kit provides up to 90 minutes of total oxygen.

With our portable oxygen kits, there is no risk of delivering “too much” oxygen. They never reach flow or volume levels that could be dangerous. Oxygen toxicity only occurs in cases of very high concentrations over long periods. Each kit is preset to the correct dosage, and the 30–90 minutes of oxygen provided are not enough to cause any harm.

Pawprint canisters are small, lightweight, and easy to handle: they have over 10 times lower pressure than a standard cylinder. They are safe to use at home and in the car. They withstand both heat (up to 49 °C) and cold, so they are also safe if the package is left outside. Oxygen is not flammable, but it can accelerate combustion: keep the canisters away from open flames and do not puncture them, just like any aerosol can.
