Toki’s tip: During calm moments of the day, gently bring the mask close to your cat’s snout and reward them with gentle petting or small treats. Repeat this daily to create a positive association with the mask and reduce stress during therapy.

How to Use the Kit Safely and Effectively

1. Attach the regulator to the canister and turn it until it clicks — you’ll hear the oxygen start to flow.

2. Slowly bring the mask towards your cat’s snout, keeping it about 10–15 cm away to help them get used to it.

3. Once your cat is calm, gently place the mask over their snout and keep it in place for as long as needed.

4. After use, turn the regulator counterclockwise to stop the flow.

You can reuse any canisters that are not fully emptied at a later time.

Pro Tips

• It’s recommended to help your pet get used to the oxygen mask before they enter full respiratory distress.

• The canisters last 2 years from the production date, and often even longer if stored correctly.

• The masks and regulators are reusable — you only need to order new canisters.

You can stop and restart the flow without wasting oxygen.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Some cats, due to their conformation or genetic predisposition, may experience more frequent respiratory difficulties. Among the most sensitive breeds are: Persian, British Shorthair, and Maine Coon. If your cat has feline asthma or suffers from respiratory stress, the oxygen kit can provide immediate relief and help you manage critical moments more effectively.

These kits are very safe to use. As a pet parent, you know your animal well: if you notice rapid breathing, a hunched posture, pale or bluish gums, lethargy, or difficulty recovering after a walk in warm weather, using it right away can help your pet feel better while you head to the vet. This is not the right solution if your pet is already in a critical condition.

No. The kit is designed to be used at the first signs of breathing difficulty, not when the situation has already become severe. Acting in time can help prevent worsening and provide immediate relief.

No. You can stop the oxygen flow at any time by turning the regulator counterclockwise. You can use the remaining oxygen whenever you need it.

Slowly bring the mask closer when your cat is calm and relaxed. Placing a treat inside can also help. Once they feel the benefit, they will often seek it out on their own.

Yes. The kit is designed to be used in critical moments, even without a formal diagnosis. Oxygen administered for a few minutes is safe and can only help your cat breathe better.

No. The canisters are single-use, but you can stop and restart the flow without waste. Once empty, they should be disposed of according to local guidelines (aluminum recycling or general waste).

Each canister lasts 15 minutes at a flow rate of 1.0 LPM. The complete kit provides up to 90 minutes of total oxygen.

With our portable oxygen kits, there is no risk of delivering “too much” oxygen. They never reach flow or volume levels that could be dangerous. Oxygen toxicity only occurs in cases of very high concentrations over long periods. Each kit is preset to the correct dosage, and the 30–90 minutes of oxygen provided are not enough to cause any harm.

Pawprint canisters are small, lightweight, and easy to handle: they have over 10 times lower pressure than a standard cylinder. They are safe to use at home and in the car. They withstand both heat (up to 49 °C) and cold, so they are also safe if the package is left outside. Oxygen is not flammable, but it can accelerate combustion: keep the canisters away from open flames and do not puncture them, just like any aerosol can.
